The Way We Work

Who are we?

We are a long established family business and have been providing high quality homes for students in Northampton for many years. We are accredited by DASH Services and the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA), and all our houses are licenced by West Northants Council (WNC).

We also sit on the committee of the Northampton Student Landlords Network (NSLN), working closely with the University, the Students' Union and the Council in an ongoing campaign to raise the standard of accommodation for students in the town.

Why are our properties different?

We don’t let rooms – we provide 'homes' for students. All our properties have been refurbished to a high standard, and incorporate top quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. All rooms have been designed in detail to provide modern, practical and flexible living spaces, within a homely atmosphere.

Where properties have gardens (all but one) these are all fully enclosed with patio areas, lawns & storage sheds (as required). Gardens are managed, and grass cut, as part of the service.

Why is our service different?

We believe in 'quality, not quantity'. With only a small number of student homes, we are able to manage these personally, ensuring the highest possible service level. We are not constrained by office hours, we are available 24/7 to attend to any issues, and our team of maintenance professionals are on hand as required.

What else do we do?

We don’t just provide the essentials. We provide the little extras that make a house a home (e.g. pictures, mirrors, cushions and rugs), plus the sorts of items that students need in their rooms (e.g. pin-boards, height-adjustable desk chairs, flexible shelving, additional storage and quality bed mattresses).

What does the rent include?

Our fully-inclusive rental package means just that. As a full-time student tenant no utilities bills are payable, and you will enjoy a number of additional services and benefits, including a ‘Welcome Hamper’ for when you move in.

Licensing

In accordance with the Housing Act 2004, Richard Lee Student Accommodation is obliged to hold Licences for ‘Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs)’ for each of the following properties: -

HMO Licences are granted by West Northants Council (WNC).
